Hi everyone Thanks for sharing, Molly. Just an added plug for these - I have found them so helpful and a nice way to meet people from other depts. Lots of snacks to get you through the day too. Nick Baker is very encouraging and supportive as well. The power hours are useful too. Even though its just 2 hours I heard someone say they get 4 hours worth of writing in, so I have done a few of these too. Overview: Looking for an opportunity to write, write, write among a group of like-minded peers? The Graduate Research School offers regular writing days to research Master's and Doctoral candidates where you can come together in a quiet space for uninterrupted writing time. We provide the venue, catered breaks, and drinks. You need to bring a device to write on and the determination to get some writing done! Writing Day spaces are limited and very popular - full-time candidates must be able to commit to the full day. If you are a part-time candidate, you are also welcome to attend but please let us know in advance if you need to arrive late or leave early. Have a look here and sign up if you would like to go - it's just the day after tomorrow and I'm not sure but registrations may fill up or be limited, so be sure to jump on it if you are keen!?! https://corpapp.otago.ac.nz/training/grs/course/14494/date/202605/<https://apc01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fcorpapp.otago.ac.nz%2Ftraining%2Fgrs%2Fcourse%2F14494%2Fdate%2F202605%2F&data=05%7C02%7Csocialanthpostgrads%40lists.otago.ac.nz%7Ca04279e96b40429c8bc308deac84d5b1%7C0225efc578fe4928b1579ef24809e9ba%7C0%7C0%7C639137883686158596%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=OodUFxJKhFhXkXuscqfLZxzNTK%2BeTsWrC99rDUKK1Ig%3D&reserved=0> Plus, it's always worthwhile keeping an eye on what GRS workshops or events are on offer...
