Kia ora postgrads, Just a very quick note to touch base about the upcoming Postgrad Symposium. (Thursday 23 April, 10-5). Giorgia has been working on a draft schedule and we will send that as soon as we can. In the meantime, we have had such a good turn out (hooray!) that I have a request for the MA and PhD students - could I please ask that your presentations fit into a 12 minute slot (rather than 15 minutes)? And can you please practice to ensure you stick to time? We are going to have a wonderfully full day hearing from all our postgrads, it will be fabulous - but we are quite full - and this will help us ensure we get ample breaks and finish on time too. Honours students - you were asked to fit into 10 minutes - and this is unchanged. Ten minutes is still your time frame. Could you please also email me your Powerpoint presentation, if you are using one, so that we can have these loaded up in advance. Please send this along by end of day Tuesday 21 April (doesn't matter how late - Giorgia and/or I will download them all Wednesday 22 April). Thanks so much everyone and again we'll be in touch with the draft schedule ASAP - we have taken everyone's time constraints into consideration, for those that mentioned some.
